Responsibilities
- The role supports ongoing operation of these systems through field installations, system setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and training of operators and field personnel on proper system use at active construction sites.
- Assemble, wire and configure instrumentation systems including sensor modules, control boxes, CAN bus networks, GPS units, and related components.
- Build cable harnesses, terminate connectors, install enclosures, and verify correct functionality.
- Perform commissioning and field setup of data acquisition systems; travel to jobsites as required.
- Troubleshoot electrical and communication issues, perform diagnostics and repairs in both the shop and field.
- Maintain detailed records of builds, repairs, and site visits.
- Support testing and validation of systems prior to deployment, including low-voltage wiring, CAN bus communication, data acquisition hardware and associated software.
- Assist with shop housekeeping and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
- Collaborate effectively with field technicians, project teams, and supervisors to meet deployment schedules.
