- Job description development — writing and maintaining accurate, compelling JDs for all positions across craft, field, and office roles
- Job posting and sourcing strategy — identifying and managing the right platforms, boards, and channels to reach construction talent in the tri-state market
- Candidate pipeline management — sourcing, screening, interviewing, and shepherding candidates through the full hiring cycle
- Hiring manager partnerships — collaborating closely with operations and field leadership to understand workforce needs and set expectations around timelines and talent availability
- Offer and close process — extending offers, managing counteroffers, and ensuring a smooth handoff to onboarding
- Employer branding — representing the company authentically in the market and building our reputation as an employer of choice in the civil construction space
- Recruiting infrastructure — recommending and implementing the ATS, sourcing tools, job boards, and workflows needed to run a professional TA function
- Reporting and metrics — tracking time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline health, and other KPIs to keep leadership informed Priority Hiring Areas:

- Estimators and Project Engineers Requirements:
- 5+ years of recruiting experience with a strong focus on civil construction, heavy highway, or infrastructure
- Proven experience hiring in the NJ, PA, DE, and MD markets — existing candidate relationships in the region are a significant plus
- Deep understanding of construction roles, titles, trades, and what good looks like at every level
- Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle recruiting independently with little oversight
- Strong sourcing skills — LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, referrals, and old- fashioned networking
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with field leaders, hiring managers, and candidates alike

We are a heavy highway and heavy civil construction company seeking a driven, hands-on Talent Acquisition Manager to build and own our recruitment function from the ground up. This is a foundational role — you will be the single voice of talent acquisition for our organization, responsible for designing the infrastructure, tools, and processes needed to attract top-tier construction talent across the NJ, PA, DE, and Maryland markets.
