Responsibilities
- Our parks and school grounds maintenance staff perform grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, athletic field maintenance, restroom maintenance, shelter maintenance and litter removal.
- The Landscape maintenance staff perform maintenance in park and school landscape beds by delivering and spreading mulch, trimming hedges, some playground maintenance and assisting Sheriff's work force.
- Perform other work as required.
- PLEASE NOTE: Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment.

- Shifts may vary with coverage needs spanning 7 days/week; includes holidays and weekends; hours are typically 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; may include some evenings.
Commitments
Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months.
Out of state driving records must be obtained by the applicant and presented at time of interview.
Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and to wear steel-toed work boots.
- Current valid driver's license and good driving record required.
