- Define and execute the national sales and business development strategy for SRN, driving revenue growth and consistently exceeding performance targets
- Identify, prioritize, and convert new business opportunities across untapped markets, leveraging capabilities and broader Sonic offerings
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous development
- Own sales performance, pipeline management, and forecasting, using data and market insights to refine strategy and optimize results
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive long-term growth and retention
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, and research teams to align offerings with market demand and enhance competitive positioning
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, and economic factors to proactively adjust strategy and maintain market relevance
- Actively participate in client engagements, industry events, and national forums to expand market presence and close strategic opportunities

Requirements
- This role requires prior Clinical Trials experience
- 10+ years of progressive business development or sales leadership experience in a high-growth environment, ideally within pharma services, diagnostics, or healthcare
- Proven success leading and scaling sales teams across multiple regions, with a strong track record of delivering revenue growth
- Experience building and executing go-to-market strategies, including sales training and team development
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presence, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics to inform decisions and improve performance
- Relationship-driven approach, with the ability to build credibility with clients, physicians, and internal stakeholders
- Hands-on, adaptable leadership style with a bias for action and results
Education
- (Required) – Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Senior Director of Business Development to lead expansion across the Sonic Research Network. This is a highly visible role responsible for meeting sales performance quota by identifying new business opportunities in untapped customers to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
