- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and automated machinery from concept through production
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using standard design software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-ups, and analysis (e.g., FEA) to validate designs
- Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), technical documentation, and design specifications
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs, including troubleshooting and design iterations
- Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to improve performance, reliability, and safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Provide technical support during fabrication, assembly, and installation phases
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design processes, product performance, and cost reduction Required Qualifications
