- Administers and/or coordinates specific departmental programs and projects; conducts business outreach, often as part of a team, to connect local businesses to resources and support; and coordinates business support activities across multiple City divisions and departments with tact and diplomacy
- Collects, analyzes, processes, and monitors data and information; prepares and presents forecasts; implements changes to database systems, files, and records
- Reviews and verifies materials information for accuracy, completeness, and conformity with established policies and procedures
- Investigates, interprets, analyzes, and prepares recommendations for improvements or changes to departmental programs and services
- Receives and screens incoming telephone calls and visits from City staff and the public; responds to inquiries and provides information regarding departmental programs, policies, and procedures; researches and explains policies, practices, and requirements; refers callers and visitors to appropriate staff as appropriate
- Coordinates and implements meetings, orientation sessions, workshops, and special events; provides information and explains policies and procedures
- Conducts research and surveys from a variety of sources for assigned projects; investigates issues, compiles and assembles data, performs basic statistical analysis, and prepares summary reports
- Prepares and updates a variety of departmental forms, manuals, and informational materials
- Assists management staff with preparation and administration of budget; tracks program expenditures and revenue; prepares budget reports
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and regulations in the area of assignment
- Provides general administrative support staff to department management, as needed
Commitments
