Responsibilities
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Project Auditor to join our team at a client site within the Finance Division of an Aviation Department or Construction Management Project.
- The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, finance, financial software, and financial reporting, with the ability to work flexibly and support a broad range of finance and payment functions.
- AUDITING RESPONSIBILITIES • Review and audit payment requests from companies providing Administrative, Construction, Land Acquisition, and Professional services. • Read and interpret contracts, task orders, project plans, and work authorizations to verify that payment requests comply with established agreements. • Examine key billing components including: labor rates and classifications, contract multipliers, price escalation adjustments, timesheets, hours billed, overtime, reimbursable expenses, work schedules, backup documentation, certified payrolls, M/W/DBE compliance, project plans, insurance holdbacks, change orders, retainage, and other contractual obligations. • Perform labor calculations and rate calculations utilizing applicable government indexes on all payment requests. • Review Travel and Work Authorizations submitted by vendors. • Review Expenditure Approvals submitted by vendors and project staff. • Conduct ad-hoc audits as specifically requested by the client.
- REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual expenditure analysis and variance reports. • Generate weekly, monthly, and annual audit reports. • Produce ad-hoc reports as needed to support project and client requirements.
- This position requires flexible work hours to accommodate unexpected tasks and requests, and the ability to support other project, finance, and payment functions as needed.

Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree required Skills & Competencies
