Responsibilities
- Test mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
- Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using engine diagnostic equipment and calibration devices.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
- Examine parts for damage and wear using micrometers or gauges.
- Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and keep accurate service records.
- Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Analyze information to evaluate results and solve problems effectively.
- Stay current on new technology through on-the-job training and technical schools.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, working at heights, and use of appropriate PPE per OSHA/MSHA requirements.
- Work shifts as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Commitments
Employment Type: Full-Time
The qualified incumbent will primarily travel to Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littleton, with potential travel to surrounding Denver areas.
Stay current on new technology through on-the-job training and technical schools.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, working at heights, and use of appropriate PPE per OSHA/MSHA requirements.
Work shifts as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Ability to lift/carry 10–60 lbs and work in confined spaces Additional Requirements:
Adhere to all safety protocols and use of approved PPE; respirator use must comply with applicable safety fit-testing standards with accommodations as required by law.

Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 annually ABOUT THE ROLE We have immediate openings for a Floating Mechanic to support operations in the Aggregate Division. The qualified incumbent will primarily travel to Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littleton, with potential travel to surrounding Denver areas. The role is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment including Loaders, Excavators, Haul Trucks, Dozers, and more. WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
