Work Schedule : Standard shifts from Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Rotating On-Call Schedule: The employee on stand-by must be available to respond to work-related emergencies or additional tasks outside of the regular hours (e.g., after 3:30 PM or during weekends).
Attend on-site and off-site safety training classes.
Standby duties and callout assistance after regular working hours.
Occasional travel to remote system facilities.
The incumbent works in an outdoor environment with frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
Majority of work performed outside at construction sites and/or power line and substation locations.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years related experience; or the successful completion of a Lineman College course with certification.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker Endorsement or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- The incumbent works in an outdoor environment with frequent exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
- Majority of work performed outside at construction sites and/or power line and substation locations.

Summary
Responsible for building and maintaining dependable electric service in the GP&L transmission and distribution service area including overhead distribution, underground distribution, transmission, substation, and lighting systems. Also, responsible for installing, removing, and maintaining transmission, distribution, substation and service line equipment.
Pay Range: $25.25 - $31.61 (Depending on qualifications and experience)
