We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support substation maintenance and equipment replacement projects. This role involves troubleshooting, executing like-for-like upgrades, coordinating with field teams, and ensuring safe, efficient project delivery in a hybrid office and field environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead substation equipment replacements and upgrades (breakers, switches, transformers, relays, bushings, arresters). Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical issues. Develop project scopes, work packages, and material requisitions . Coordinate with construction teams, field crews, and stakeholders . Support design adjustments for brownfield (existing infrastructure) projects. Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion. Conduct site visits and ensure compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering . Experience or knowledge of substation equipment and maintenance workflows . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills . Ability to work in both office and field environments . Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: 0–5 years (junior) or 5+ years (mid-level) relevant experience. PE license (Colorado) preferred for senior candidates. Experience with brownfield substation projects . Familiarity with SAP, ProjectWise , and basic PLC/logic programming . Prior experience with engineering consulting or utility environments. Work Environment & Schedule: Hybrid schedule: Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; remote Monday & Friday. Frequent field visits to substations required. Work involves high-voltage environments ; PPE will be required. Exposure to outdoor conditions during site visits.
