Responsibilities
- The primary responsibilities of the position are to work with senior team members to design DNA constructs, produce proteins, maintain cell lines, perform biological assays, and coordinate CROs.
- This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a cross-functional team and contribute to the development of next-generation synthetic biotherapeutics in a fast-paced, rapidly growing biotech company with a bold vision.
- Support the molecular cloning pipeline, including DNA silico analysis, codon optimization, gene fragment assembly, cloning and production of transfection grade plasmids.
- Transfection, expression, and purification of proteins from mammalian cells using endotoxin free methods.
- Perform in vitro biochemical and biophysical characterizations of protein candidates, including techniques like ELISA, Octet, DLS, SDS-PAGE, and Western Blot.
- Production of lentiviral based pseudovirus stocks.
- Test activity of antibodies in pseudovirus neutralization assays.
- Help design and coordinate studies with CROs.
- Proficient in independently addressing and resolving experimental problems.
- Exceptional organizational, technical, and troubleshooting skills, with keen attention to detail and sterile technique.
- Careful and thorough recording of experimental data using an electronic lab notebook.
- Analyze data using appropriate software and statistical methods, and clear reporting of results to the team.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
