- The Lead Records Associate will be responsible for maintaining data, records, and files necessary to provide exceptional service to an assigned client team or department.
- This role plays a critical part in the implementation and management of document control and records management processes throughout the entire information lifecycle, including both physical and electronic records.
- Evaluate current active records systems for compliance by conducting inventories and reviewing information retrieval needs
- Coordinate information creation, receipt, storage, retrieval, and disposition
- Ensure the security and preservation of records within records centers and inactive storage
- Apply retention schedules to inactive records in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare new files in accordance with records system guidelines
- Respond to verbal, telephone, written, and email inquiries regarding records requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor and actively listen to customer inquiries to provide accurate information and prompt assistance
- Collaborate with departments on special information research and retrieval projects
- Maintain excellence in customer service and a strong commitment to supporting client needs
