Requirements
  • 5+ years in an Emergency Management Response role, or equivalent.
  • Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook (Email), Word, and Excel.
  • Travel Required - Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice (typically 24 – 48 hours notice) and potentially for long durations up to a minimum of 30 days.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies (DO Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
Preferred Skills
  • Master's Degree in Emergency Management (or related field).
  • Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience.
  • FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series certification (IS-100/102/200/700/800/815).
  • Previous experience managing Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting tools.
Education
  • (Not required) – Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or similar/related concentration, or equivalent.
  • (Not required) – Master's Degree in Emergency Management (or related field).
  • (Not required) – FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series certification (IS-100/102/200/700/800/815).
