Requirements
  • Proven sales leader with demonstrated success in managing and scaling high-performing sales organizations; current Optum Rx sales team manager highly preferred, though exceptional external candidates will be considered
  • Expert at navigating complex, matrixed environments, building cross-functional alignment, and driving enterprise-level initiatives that impact revenue and client satisfaction
  • Solid executive presence and communication skills, capable of influencing C-suite stakeholders and representing the organization at the highest levels
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or related industries such as pharmacy benefit management (PBM), consulting, and/or managed care
  • 5+ years of experience in Employer Group sales and leadership with success in driving growth and revenue
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including proven ability to recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing teams
  • Experience building and managing strategic client relationships and leading complex sales initiatives
  • Experience influencing senior executives and C-suite stakeholders within large, matrixed organizations to drive strategic outcomes
  • Experience leading regional or national teams, with accountability for performance across multiple markets
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue and sales goals in highly competitive environments
  • Deep understanding of complex sales cycles, solution development, and RFP processes, with the ability to remove barriers and accelerate deal closure
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred Skills
  • The ideal candidate will possess extensive sales leadership experience in Optum Rx or comparable pharmacy benefit management organizations and/or consulting firms.
