Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all day-to-day branch operations including intake, scheduling, staffing, and client services.
- Lead, coach, and develop office staff including intake coordinators, schedulers, and supervisors.
- Establish performance expectations and accountability standards.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, urgency, and client-centered care.
- Ensure authorized hours are staffed efficiently and visit fulfillment targets are met.
- Monitor caseload growth, admissions, and discharges to maintain stable census and service hours.
- Establish clear workflows to move clients from referral to admission quickly and compliantly.
- P&L ownership - including revenue, labor costs, overtime, and contribution margin.
- Improve/Monitor key performance indicators such as:
- Implement strategies to improve productivity and control operating expenses.
- Ensure full compliance with: Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations, Illinois Department on Aging (IDOA) requirements, Medicaid waiver program rules and EVV compliance standards
- Agency policies and procedures
- Prepare for audits and surveys and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Oversee incident reporting, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Partner with recruitment teams to maintain adequate caregiver pipeline.
- Monitor caregiver retention and implement strategies to reduce turnover.
- Ensure caregivers are properly credentialed, trained, and oriented.
- Work with HR to address performance issues and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Support and collaborate with Business Development Managers to grow referrals and admissions.

Job Summary: The Area Administrator is responsible for the overall leadership, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and financial results of a Licensed Home Care Service Agency serving clients in Illinois. This role oversees daily operations including intake, staffing, scheduling, billing coordination, caregiver recruitment and retention, quality assurance, and business development activities. The Area Administrator ensures the agency operates in full compliance with Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Illinois Department on Aging (IDOA), Medicaid waiver requirements, and Managed Care Organization (MCO) contractual obligations, while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction, caregiver engagement, and operational efficiency.
