About the Role Perfeos is looking for a rare kind of financial leader — someone equally comfortable setting the strategic direction of the company as they are closing the books at month-end. This is a department of one role, built for a hands-on operator who doesn't just manage finance but owns it entirely. You'll serve as a true partner to both the CEO and COO, shaping how we grow, where we invest, and how we stay healthy — while making sure every transaction is accurate and every deadline is met. Please note: This role is fully remote, but candidates must be based in the United States. What You'll Own
Strategic Finance — Advise the CEO and COO on growth strategy, capital allocation, and risk. Translate numbers into decisions.
Financial Modeling — Build and maintain forecasts, multi-year projections, and scenario models that actually get used.
Full-Cycle Accounting — Own the general ledger. Manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll, and all period-end closings.
Cash & Runway Management — Track burn rate and working capital with precision. Surface problems before they become crises.
Compliance & Tax — Handle all filings, audits, and regulatory requirements. Keep us clean and fully compliant.
Systems & Automation — Own and optimize our QuickBooks environment, identify opportunities to reduce manual work, and ensure our finance stack scales as the business grows. Who You Are You have 7+ years of experience that spans both the technical and strategic sides of finance — ideally starting in accounting or audit before stepping into a CFO or Finance Director capacity. Titles matter less than range.
You can build a financial model from a blank spreadsheet and explain it to someone who's never read a P&L
You treat a $10 reconciliation gap as seriously as a $10,000 one — because process gaps don't stay small
You're comfortable being the only finance person in the room and taking full ownership of that
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills are a given; know how to use Quickbooks; bonus points for experience with modern finance and accounting tools Why This Role This isn't a seat-warmer position. You'll have real influence over how a growing company manages its money, builds its infrastructure, and makes its biggest decisions. If you've been waiting for a role where your work is visible and your judgment is trusted — this is it.
