Requirements
  • Experience as a Cable Splicer/Jointer or Lineman
  • Strong jointing skills (inline splices, terminations) and fault location experience
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and circuit maps
  • Safe work record and commitment to safety
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively
  • Familiarity with utility standards and QA/QC documentation requirements.
  • Experience working in substations, renewables (wind/solar/BESS), heavy industrial, or underground distribution networks
  • CDL, TWIC, or ability to obtain site‑specific clearances
  • First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10/30, and NFPA 70E training
  • Proficiency with XLPE/EPR/PILC cable systems and associated accessories (joints, terminations, splices, stress cones, cold/heat shrink).
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing (VLF/hipot, IR, TDR/PD) and interpreting results.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.; stand, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces or manholes
  • Comfortable working at heights, around energized equipment (in accordance with safety boundaries), and in PPE (arc‑rated clothing, face shield, gloves)
  • Ability to pass fit‑for‑duty, drug/alcohol screening, MVR checks, and site-specific background checks as required
  • Strict adherence to company and client safety programs, permits, and tailboard/take‑5 processes
  • Travel & Schedule
  • Travel: 75–100%, including multi‑day/weekly/monthly trips
  • Work Environment: Outdoors and indoors; varied climates; energized facilities with strict safety controls; occasional remote locations
