Responsibilities

On this laboratory automation role at Eurofins, you'll design, prototype, and develop automated solutions and modular hardware to support data-rich drug product development experimentation. You will implement robotic control and data management systems, enable digital tools for machine learning and self-optimization, and build analytics for process optimization, modeling, and visualization. You will also collaborate extensively with internal and external scientists, engineers, and partners, contribute to departmental initiatives and continuous improvement, and participate in presentations and external collaborations to enhance the group’s scientific and business impact.

Commitments

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM position with overtime as needed, offering comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Candidates should live within commuting distance of Groton, CT or Indianapolis, IN and must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Requirements
  • Strong coding with C/C++ or Python
  • Experience working with Application Programming Interface (API) and Open Platform Communications (OPC)
  • Data processing experience, including AI agents, machine learning, and Bayesian optimization
  • Experience working with computer-aided vision systems for testing and analysis of product quality attributes
  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with robotics, automation, data analytics, and machine vision systems used in laboratory automation
  • Experience in pharmaceutical research and development
Education
  • (Not required) – Master of Science Degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Sciences or closely related discipline;
  • (Not required) – OR a Bachelor’s degree in these disciplines with 2-4 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
