Responsibilities
- Research Associate/Senior Research Associate, Development Chemistry will be responsible for research and development activities in the Development Chemistry group
- Design, conduct, analyze, and interpret reaction/process optimization, scale-up, and other experimental development studies
- Design, conduct, analyze, and interpret analytical methods in support of development chemistry activities and priorities
- Document experimental results in an ELN and write technical protocols/reports as needed
- Present data at group and cross-functional team meetings
- Identify and propose solutions to laboratory problems
- Keep current with developments in the field of organic, bioorganic, and analytical chemistry
- Support general laboratory operations by coordinating instrument maintenance, laboratory supplies, and adherence to safety protocols
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support program goals and milestones
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 5%

Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory-based activities, both bio-, organic and analytical chemistry, to support Eyconis' expanding pipeline of pre-clinical programs. Collaborating closely with a team of scientists and engineers at Eyconis' Redwood City laboratory, the candidate will engage in discovery and development chemistry initiatives. This position offers significant opportunities for scientific growth and the acquisition of diverse chemistry knowledge, all while contributing to the advancement of innovative, complex, and impactful drugs for patients. This position is an on-site laboratory position located in Redwood City.

Expected Salary Range:
The base pay range for this position is expected to be $78,000 - $90,000 annually
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, capabilities, and experience
The level of the position may be adjusted accordingly based on qualifications
The total compensation package for this position also includes equity, bonus, and benefits
