Responsibilities
- The Operations Manager will be a key team member, initiating and overseeing processes related to people operations, internal and external communications, event management, budgeting, administration, procurement, and contracts.
- The Operations Manager will work collaboratively across these three organizations, and will partner with university contacts in finance, HR, procurement, facilities, and other functions as necessary.
- A successful candidate will also build relationships with other centers and contacts inside and outside of Georgetown University and Georgetown Law, sharing resources and leading practices.

Commitments
The Operations Manager’s time will be allocated 50% to KGI, and the position will report directly to the KGI Communications Director for work within KGI and for general administrative purposes.
The Operations Manager’s time will be allocated 25% to CDE and 25% to ITLP, and the position will have secondary, dotted-line reporting to the Executive Directors of CDE and ITLP for purposes of the work within those centers.
The Operations Manager will work collaboratively across these three organizations, and will partner with university contacts in finance, HR, procurement, facilities, and other functions as necessary.
A successful candidate will also build relationships with other centers and contacts inside and outside of Georgetown University and Georgetown Law, sharing resources and leading practices.
This position has been designated as Hybrid.

The Georgetown Tech & Society Initiative is a vibrant cross-campus ecosystem creating novel approaches for interdisciplinary collaboration, research, understanding, and action—all at the intersection of technology, ethics, and governance. Tech & Society is looking for a process-oriented yet adaptive candidate to join our team as an Operations Manager supporting three Tech & Society centers: the Knight-Georgetown Institute (KGI); the Center for Digital Ethics (CDE); and the Institute for Technology Law & Policy (ITLP). With partnership and oversight from the Executive Directors of KGI, CDE, and ITLP, the Operations Manager will play an integral role in day-to-day functions and future planning, ensuring that each center’s operations and administrative needs are met.
