Successful outcomes start and finish with eNGINE . eNGINE is hiring a skilled Infrastructure Engineer with strong Network Engineering expertise to join a high-impact team supporting major infrastructure investments and modernization initiatives. This role will partner closely with two Infrastructure Architects to deliver a series of high-priority projects as the organization continues to modernize its technology landscape to support application modernization, cloud adoption, AI initiatives, and enterprise communications improvements. Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Infrastructure Architects to design and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions aligned with strategic modernization initiatives.
Lead or contribute to high-priority projects including:
Cloud infrastructure expansion
Disaster recovery and high availability strategy enhancements
AI platform enablement
Implementation of a modern enterprise phone/communications system
Develop and model infrastructure solutions that support scalability, resiliency, and performance for business-critical systems.
Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) strategies for core infrastructure platforms.
Create and maintain infrastructure technology standards, policies, and operational procedures.
Implement automation and scripting to streamline infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks.
Work across network, compute, storage, and cloud platforms to ensure reliable and secure infrastructure services.
Support the evaluation and selection of infrastructure technologies, vendors, and cloud services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support evolving infrastructure requirements tied to application modernization and AI initiatives. Desired Technical Environment:
Networking & Security: Cisco networking platforms, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba networking solutions, Cisco Meraki suite, and SD-WAN networking with diverse circuit installations
Communications: Cisco Unified Communications (Call Manager, Contact Center), SIP trunking support and management
Infrastructure & Virtualization: VMware virtual infrastructure, Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), SAN configuration and storage management, Microsoft Windows Server ecosystem (IIS, clustering, terminal services), and Microsoft Active Directory
Cloud & Modern Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure platform administration and architecture and Cloud service/vendor evaluation and management
Automation & Scripting: Infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or ARM and Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or Bash Additional Enterprise Platforms:
Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop
Enterprise backup and data protection solutions
File services (local sharing, archiving, cloud storage) Candidates who fit the following criteria are ideal:
Strong infrastructure engineering background with networking expertise
Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions
Proven ability to own initiatives independently and drive them from concept through implementation
Experience building or improving disaster recovery and high availability architectures
Comfortable working in complex enterprise environments with multiple platforms and vendors
