Responsibilities
- Own full project lifecycle from preconstruction through final commissioning and closeout on data center and mission-critical construction projects
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls; maintain accurate forecasting and report variances to ownership
- Lead weekly OAC meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and commissioning planning sessions
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, commissioning agents, and equipment vendors on critical systems including power distribution, cooling (CRAC/CRAH), UPS, generators, and structured cabling
- Drive the RFI, submittal, and change order process with discipline and speed — no lag on the critical path
- Manage and enforce quality control standards across all trades; ensure work meets data center Tier specifications and owner requirements
- Maintain strict safety compliance on-site; enforce OSHA standards and site-specific safety plans
- Coordinate with AHJ, utility providers, and commissioning authorities on inspections, energization, and occupancy milestones
- Manage subcontractor performance, including scope adherence, schedule compliance, and pay application review
- Build and maintain strong owner and client relationships; be the face of Apex on every project

Requirements
- | Data center construction experience is a hard requirement.
- Do not apply if you have not directly managed data center or mission-critical construction projects as a PM or Sr.

- Minimum 5 years of construction Project Management experience, with at least 3 years specifically on data center or mission-critical projects
- Demonstrated experience managing MEP-intensive scopes including electrical distribution, standby power, precision cooling, and low-voltage systems
- Proficiency with project management software — Procore required; P6 or MS Project preferred
- Strong working knowledge of data center Tier classification standards (Uptime Institute or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of commissioning processes (Cx, IST, and integrated systems testing)
- Proven ability to manage project budgets of $5M and above
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously in a fast-paced, phased environment
- Strong contract knowledge — AIA, ConsensusDocs, or equivalent; ability to manage change orders and protect the company's position
- OSHA 30-Hour certification required; current OSHA 30 preferred
