Responsibilities

On the Equity-Linked Capital Markets team at BMO U.S., you’ll provide sector-focused capital markets solutions across the full equity-linked product suite, including convertibles and derivatives, by contributing deep industry analysis, financial modeling, and pricing expertise. You will help originate and execute transactions by creating and presenting pitch materials, supporting deal teams, conducting due diligence, monitoring clients and markets, and proactively identifying cross-sell and portfolio diversification opportunities while managing risk, compliance, and client relationships across a diverse portfolio. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, develop relationships with buyside and corporate clients, mentor Analysts, and drive process improvements and strategic initiatives while working independently on complex, sometimes unique, assignments.

Requirements
  • Typically between 2 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of investment banking or valuation experience at a financial analyst level.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, investment banking products and applicable regulations.
  • Credit analysis experience/ understanding.
  • Derivatives background/experience helpful
  • Good knowledge of the organizational portfolio management policies and objectives.
  • Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.
  • Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics, financial modeling and credit analysis skills.
  • Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
