- This role is responsible for overseeing project execution, operational performance, financial outcomes, safety compliance, and team development across all construction divisions.
- The President of Construction works closely with executive leadership to drive growth, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while upholding the company’s values and reputation.
- Develop and implement the overall construction strategy aligned with company goals and growth objectives.
- Provide executive oversight for all construction operations, including project management, field operations, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning, expansion opportunities, and operational improvements.
- Lead organizational change initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and innovation.
- Operational Oversight
- Oversee all active construction projects to ensure they meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations.
- Establish and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices across construction teams.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project delivery, profitability, productivity, and risk management.
- Identify operational challenges and implement solutions to improve performance.
- Financial Management
- Manage construction budgets, cost controls, and financial forecasting for all projects and divisions.
- Work closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting, margin performance, and cost management.
- Review and approve major project budgets, bids, and contracts.
- Drive profitability while maintaining high standards of workmanship and client satisfaction.
- Business Development & Client Relations
- Support business development efforts by participating in client presentations, contract negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, developers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Identify new market opportunities and contribute to company growth initiatives.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior construction leadership including project executives, directors, and operations managers.
- Build a high-performing culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruiting, retention, and professional development across the construction organization.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Oversee company safety programs and promote a culture of safety across all job sites.
