- Work collaboratively with Pharmacy Leadership team to define a sustainable business growth strategy, cultivate “C-Suite” level relationships with key industry collaborators and drive continued growth in the pharmacy business.
- Lead and define the strategic fit, structure, economic analysis and efforts for solutions on behalf of Pharmacy.
- Gather and utilize market level data to better understand the competitive environment; identify attractive growth opportunities and target markets for Pharmacy division.
- With the requisite relationships and industry knowledge base, proactively provide recommendations about future growth prospects and maintain an active pipeline of actionable opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with product, sales, finance, marketing and operational teams as well as the broader Evernorth organization to identify, create and develop growth focused initiatives, which will contribute to the strategic and financial objectives for the pharmacy division.
- Communicate complex material succinctly and effectively to multiple audiences

Evernorth’s Pharmacy and Care Delivery division is composed of seven complementary businesses: Express Scripts Home Delivery Pharmacy (EXP), Accredo Health Group, CuraScript SD (CSD), Express Scripts Specialty Distribution Services (ESSDS), Freedom Fertility Pharmacy (FFP), Verity Solutions and CarepathRx. Each business focuses on improving clinical patient outcomes, strives to offer an excellent patient and/or provider experience and provides affordability, simplicity and predictability in a complex healthcare environment.
The Pharmacy Strategy and Business Development Office is focused on building connections across the pharmacy businesses and enterprise. Business development efforts are focused on growing, expanding and strengthening the pharmacy division through organic and inorganic investments.
This person in this role will be a member of the Pharmacy and Care Delivery Business Development team, focused on leading market expansion efforts. Pharmacy BD members continuously partner with business leaders across the organization to identify gaps in our current market offerings and evaluate options to close those gaps. Working with the business, BD helps to define solutions and provide informed recommendations to leadership around whether or not to prioritize efforts and proceed (strategy, buy / partner / build, required investment, etc.). This role has accountability for the growth, performance and results of the pharmacy business.
