PAY: $18-19
HOURS / SHIFT: 1 st Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday thru Friday)

Description
The material handler physically receives and ships packages and orders into and out of the warehouse. This position requires the operation of a forklift, and other tools as needed. They perform the required duties to quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

Physically receives all incoming packages and ordersas well as prepares and ships outgoing packages.
Verifies quantities ordered match quantities shipped on packing slips and note discrepancies, check shipments for damages.
Operate the forklift and wrapping machine as needed
Determines labeling requirements for shipping containers including any special labels required by the customer
Prepare documents and record receipts in a timely manner
Move materials from production to finished goods area, and from receiving dock to storage areas Qualifications & Requirements

Forklift Certification: Preferred, forklift experience preferred
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills along with strong ability to multitask
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with customers and team members.
Other Skills: Ability to work effectively with peers, management, and other departments.
Technical Proficiency: Computer literacy
Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Warehouse Setting: The role is primarily based in the warehouse with loud noises and fluctuations in temperature
Communication: Ability to communicate in English
Mobility: Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Lifting: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds continuously.
