Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst III – Interconnection Business Services We are seeking a Financial Analyst III to join a high-impact Interconnection Business Services team supporting large commercial and industrial customers through the utility interconnection lifecycle — from initial request through commercial operation. This role sits at the intersection of accounting, customer account management, engineering coordination, and system transitions , supporting manufacturers, farmers, and large-load customers connecting to the power grid. The team works closely with Account Managers to ensure accurate financial tracking, study true-ups, deposit management, and invoice processing throughout the interconnection process. Key Responsibilities:
Support Interconnection Customers and Account Managers from application through commercial operation
Perform study true-ups and prepare final accounting reports for developers withdrawing or moving to construction
Capture and track customer deposits and non-cash securities for accounting and risk management purposes
Create project IDs in PowerPlan for Affected System, Provisional, and Retail Large Load projects
Maintain financial tracking spreadsheets for Affected System and Large Retail Load projects
Monitor engineering study charging and timesheet activity to ensure completeness and accuracy
Create PeopleSoft invoices and detailed invoice packages
Issue refunds related to study and security deposits
Monitor daily incoming funds, including non-cash transactions
Support system transitions and process improvements related to utility financial systems What We’re Looking For:
Accounting or finance background with strong analytical capability
Experience supporting Commercial & Industrial customers
Ability to understand and navigate complex customer processes and utility-related systems
Strong Excel and systems proficiency (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook required)
Experience with ERP systems such as PowerPlan and/or PeopleSoft preferred
Exposure to CRM platforms is a plus
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional team environment Additional Details:
