Responsibilities
- Build predictive models, map customer journeys, and deliver data products that help launch, scale, and optimize Sony’s DTC streaming offering.
- Serve as thought leader developer of key DTC analytical models like customer lifetime value, attribution, churn, and AB testing
- Own end-to-end model development, from scoping → exploration → feature engineering → model development → validation → deployment.
- Work closely with data engineering and product teams to operationalize models, ensuring scalability, reproducibility, and automated monitoring.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover insights that inform content strategy, product experience, and growth plans for the service.
- Translate complex modeling results into clear, compelling narratives for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and platform teams to identify opportunities for advanced analytics and modeling.
- Partner with Insights Strategy & Analytics dedicated Core team (BI, data engineering, and Strategic Analysts) and leadership to integrate modeling outputs into data products, dashboards, and business-embedded tools that support decision-making across the Sony Pictures Core ecosystem.

Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data science, ideally in streaming, digital media, consumer apps, or subscription businesses.
- Proven track record developing predictive models, experimentation frameworks, and advanced analytics for DTC or digital platforms.
- Expert proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with experimentation platforms, uplift modeling, statistical testing, and causal inference.
- Strong skills in feature engineering, handling large-scale behavioral data, and building ML pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, Databricks) and MLOps practices

Sony Pictures Core is a streaming service that operates on BRAVIA TVs and PlayStation consoles. We are seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Data Scientist to own the advanced analytics and modeling to help shape the future of our DTC AVOD and FAST platforms- ultimately influencing the vision, launch, and growth of Sony Pictures Core. This role is a part of the broader ISA team but is dedicated and embedded in the day to day of the Sony Pictures Core AVOD/FAST business. The ideal candidate has a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $140K to $180K. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
