Requirements
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated implementation of lean practices.
  • Level 2 Engineer: Typically, 3 years of experience
  • Level 3 Engineer: Typically 5 years of experience
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably electrical/electronic/RF experience)
  • Experience and relevant background in application of materials, manufacturing methods and equipment; especially in regards to assembling, troubleshooting, repairing electronic systems, circuits, test equipment and cables/harnesses
  • Knowledge of electronics, electrical, RF, mechanical design and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Knowledge of DFX principles, including Design for Manufacturing, Inspection, Assembly, and Cost.
  • Knowledge of existing manufacturing technologies, and the ability to research emerging manufacturing technologies.
  • Ability to analyze and understand technical drawings, preliminary bills of material, engineering sketches, CAD models, prototypes, specifications, and ad hoc requirements.
  • Ability to detect and analyze potential design issues, and to apply logical or scientific solutions to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to visualize and comprehend critical elements of a manufacturing environment and to understand the interactions of various factors that affect engineering designs.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, diverse team environment.
  • Includes the ability to justify analytical results then effectively communicate recommendations to positively influence designs and processes.
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Manufacturing specific computer skills: ERP and MRP (e.g.
  • Oracle); PLM (e.g.
  • Matrix); MES (e.g.
  • Solumina).
  • Experience with CAD software (UG NX 10 , SolidWorks).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
