Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive financial analysis of commercial borrowers, including financial statement spreading, cash flow analysis, global debt service capacity, and trend evaluation.
Underwrite Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loans, owner-occupied and investor Commercial Real Estate (CRE) transactions, revolving lines of credit, equipment financing, and acquisition or expansion financing.
Partner with Relationship Managers to structure transactions aligned with client needs and the bank’s credit appetite.
Present transactions to Credit Officers or the Loan Committee and respond to underwriting questions or structural recommendations.
Conduct ongoing portfolio monitoring, including annual reviews, covenant compliance tracking, risk rating validation, and identification of early warning indicators.
Ensure credit files meet documentation standards and comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Support internal loan review, audit processes, and regulatory examinations.
Mentor junior analysts and promote consistent underwriting standards across the credit function.

3+ years of commercial banking credit analysis or underwriting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP financial statement analysis and cash flow-based lending.
Knowledge of CRE underwriting fundamentals, including DSCR, LTV, and collateral analysis.
Experience with financial spreading systems such as Moody’s, Sageworks, Baker Hill, or Abrigo.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise credit presentations.
