Requirements
  • Knowledge of EMR (Epic)
  • Ability to triage patient telephone calls.
  • Gather pertinent facts; be as accurate and concise as possible to assess patient health status and act as liaison between patient and provider.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively educate patients, families and staff regarding the full scope of patient care needs related to the care of patients with orthopedic problems.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly.
  • Respond well to questions with patients, physicians/ mid-level providers and co-workers.

  • CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through one of the following national organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National HealthCareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
  • EMTs will need Emergency Medical Technician certification
  • ATCs will need to be board certified as Athletic Trainer
  • Active & Current Driver’s license/ Clean driving record
  • Clinical Experience

Education
  • (Not required) – Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, nursing or a college degree in a related field
