Requirements
  • Develop AR applications using Unity or Unreal Engine for prototype testing and user studies
  • Develop scripts and tools in MATLAB, Python, C#, or C++
  • Build automated testing and calibration tools Prototyping & Fabrication:
  • Design and fabricate custom fixtures using CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, OnShape)
  • Utilize rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing – FDM/SLA) Optical Metrology:
  • Conduct display characterization (luminance, color accuracy, MTF, distortion, field of view)
  • Document measurement methodology with strong focus on repeatability and accuracy Data & Analysis:
  • Design data storage systems (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Build data pipelines for measurement and study data
  • Develop analysis scripts (Python, MATLAB, R)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building AR/VR systems or prototypes
  • Experience developing AR applications in Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Experience with optical metrology and display characterization
  • Programming experience (Python, MATLAB, C#, or C++)
  • Experience assembling hardware prototypes
  • Experience conducting AR user studies
  • Familiarity with human-subject research environments Why This Role Is Unique This is not a traditional UX or software role.
