- The Billing Specialist is responsible for generating invoices, processing payments, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accurate billing operations within an organization.
- This role supports revenue integrity and customer satisfaction by resolving billing discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices (manual and automated)
- Review contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements for billing accuracy
- Process payments (ACH, credit card, wire, checks)
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports
- Follow up on outstanding balances
- Post payments and adjustments in accounting systems
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Utilize ERP systems and billing software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
- Create and track tickets in systems such as Jira for billing-related issues
