Responsibilities

On the transportation and transit team at Otak, you'll lead and manage multidisciplinary projects from planning through construction, overseeing scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to meet client, regulatory, and profitability goals. You will apply deep knowledge of AASHTO, ADA, MUTCD, ODOT, and WSDOT standards to produce high-quality civil designs, final PS&E packages, and construction support, while mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of technical excellence. You’ll also cultivate strong relationships with public agencies, stakeholders, and communities through responsive client service and collaborative, community-focused design solutions.

Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain registration in Oregon and Washington within six (6) months.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with an emphasis on transportation, infrastructure, drainage, and utility design.
  • Strong technical background in roadway, multimodal, and transit infrastructure design.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, or similar design software.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results
Preferred Skills
