Requirements
  • Knowledge of the permit application process and forms;
  • Knowledge of zoning classifications and setback requirements;

  • Ability to read and interpret site plans, architectural plans, and associated construction documents;

  • Ability to write and speak effectively and convey permitting requirements.
  • Ability to maintain effective work relationships with the public.
  • Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in planning, subdivision control, and zoning enforcement work; and a valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Note: Two (2) or more years of experience in planning, subdivision control, and zoning enforcement work may be substituted with two (2) or more years of experience in permitting and/or land development, and a valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license.

Education
  • (Not required) – Education: Graduation from high school.
