- Develop and implement an efficient monthly accounting cycle by structuring the activities of the Property Accounting team
- Manage full-cycle accounting and assist in the monthly close process
- Become the subject matter expert and resource for areas of responsibility
- Assist in budget preparation and reforecasting processes
- Review property operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with Property Managers and Regional Property Managers on financial performance issues
- Gather, summarize, and format financial data into detailed financial reports
- Create financial models to project future results from changes in variable inputs
- Ensure accurate general ledger classifications are made for operational, capital, and non-recurring expenditures
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Experience
- 3-5 years progressive experience in accounting or finance leadership roles
- Previous experience in multi-family accounting
- Experience in a fast-paced office environment with multiple priorities
- Experience with data collection, manipulation, summarization, and financial modeling
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting principles and mathematics
- Knowledge of Accounting software databases
- Knowledge of Property Management software (ie: MRI, RealPage)
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including high level functions in excel
- Working knowledge of GAAP, and their proper application within property management
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Read, analyze, articulate and compile financial reports used for business correspondence

Summary
As the Property Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for complex reporting on financial results for a diverse
portfolio of real estate assets. You will manage a team of property accountants in general accounting and efficient
transaction processing, assist in the implementation of departmental projects and company initiatives, and create a
culture of exceptional support to field personnel
