Our Early Childhood Center And Elementary School
Our Early Childhood Center and Elementary School at School in the Square is a Dual Language PreK-5th grade program dedicated to providing each student with the tools and support to become lifelong learners. The Early Childhood Center provides a creative, bilingual immersion program alongside a focus on SEL.
We are looking for dedicated, mission-aligned after school teachers who have a passion for bilingual immersion. Reporting to our After School Manager and in collaboration with a diverse and committed School community, you will support our efforts to provide educational enrichment, sports, and art opportunities to our After School Program. If you have experience with children in a camp, after school or school setting and are interested in assisting in providing a range of classes and activities that support the overall well-being of students bring your talent to our After School Team at School in the Square. Come share in rewarding fun-filled afternoons while honing your teaching talent weekdays throughout the academic year.
Our After School Part-Time Teachers
Duties And Responsibilities
We are looking for both Lead and Assistant After School Part Time Teachers who are talented and enthusiastic educators that will bring their creative talents to our unique program. Please see below duties and responsibilities:

Availability to work Monday through Friday 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM
Provide help with arrival and dismissal of students
Supervise the transition of all students to their daily activities
Help with Attendance and constant supervision of all grade level students
Organization, dispersing and collection of supplies
Helping with the distribution and cleaning up of snack and daily used spaces
Supervision of students during after care programs
Working alongside and reporting to both the after school manager and coordinator daily
Supervising students transitions outdoors to local parks
Supervising appropriate usage of technology including but not limited to conduct, treatment of supplies and locking up of equipment
Ability to work with other adults in a lead or assistant teacher role
Coverage of classes when absences occur
Contribute to a Collaborative and Cohesive Staff Learning Community

Show evidence of utilizing constructive feedback to enhance the quality of work.
Demonstrate teamwork, actively modeling cooperation and helpfulness for students
Engage in respectful and critical dialogue to contribute to the school’s evolution.

Fluency in Spanish is preferred

The pay rate for this role is $30 - $40 an hour based on the role. This is a part time role and does not include benefits.
