Requirements
  • Prior experience in content creation, photography, videography, or video production.
  • Technical Proficiency
  • Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive) for event planning, collaboration, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of video composition, lighting, and storytelling techniques.
  • Ability to capture high-quality photos and videos using a smartphone or professional camera.
  • Communication Skills
  • Strong visual storytelling skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally with event attendees while capturing content.
  • Effective collaboration skills to work closely with the team and event participants.
  • Comfortable approaching colleagues, educators, and partners to encourage participation in social media content, including trends, short videos, and photos.
  • Project Management and Organization
  • Ability to manage multiple content projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Available to work onsite for up to 40 hours per week during the summer, with potential evening or weekend event coverage.
  • Ability to regularly travel between event locations in Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Durham as needed.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
  • Bilingualism is a plus, though not required.
