Requirements
  • 15+ years of healthcare design experience, including 8+ years of focused medical planning
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit (required)
  • Proven experience planning complex healthcare environments, including renovations, behavioral health facilities, imaging suites, and laboratories
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), including Departments of Health (DOH) and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA)
  • Experience working with large healthcare systems or academic medical centers
  • Behavioral health and complex renovation project experience
  • Familiarity with Lean healthcare principles and/or evidence-based design
Preferred Skills
  • The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple projects at varying scales and brings strong regional healthcare experience in Washington and Oregon, with California experience preferred.
  • Proven experience planning complex healthcare environments, including renovations, behavioral health facilities, imaging suites, and laboratories
  • Licensed Architect and/or NCIDQ certification preferred
  • Professional certification in architecture/design (e.g., AIA, NCIDQ) and/or project management (e.g., PMP) preferred
  • Experience working with large healthcare systems or academic medical centers
  • Behavioral health and complex renovation project experience
  • Familiarity with Lean healthcare principles and/or evidence-based design
Education
  • (Not required) – Professional degree in Architecture, Medical Planning, Interior Architecture, or a related field
  • (Not required) – Licensed Architect and/or NCIDQ certification preferred
  • (Not required) – Professional certification in architecture/design (e.g., AIA, NCIDQ) and/or project management (e.g., PMP) preferred
