The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is the research division of the company. ATG’s mission is to look ahead, deliver insights, and innovate technological solutions that will fuel Dolby’s continued growth. At Dolby Laboratories, we investigate perceptual aspects of the human visual system and turn what we learn into technologies and products for improving perceived video/image quality. Understanding the relationship between science, art, and engineering is fundamental to doing this well. We are looking for a motivated and energetic researcher to join our team.
We are specifically looking for a talented and inventive individual to research aspects of the human visual system and design image processing algorithms that produce spectacular experiences. You will conduct research related to color appearance and human perception, design and participate in user studies, and invent, prototype, implement and evaluate novel image processing algorithms.

Qualifications
A Master’s or PhD degree in Imaging or Color Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field

Proven track record of journal publications is a plus
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented work ethic
The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time position is $133,500-$163,000, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
