- Be part of the BMC Brighton team dedicated to advancing diagnostic excellence and improving patient outcomes.
- As a member of the Labor and Delivery surgical team, the surgical technician provides patient care during surgical procedures by providing an aseptic and safe environment.
- Duties include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments and providing assistance to surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other staff during surgery.
- Uses technical and aseptic techniques to ensure methodology is in compliance with established sterile standards and procedures

- Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Surgical Technician certification required or Surg Tech experience prior to 2013 as dictated by MA law
- Experience
- Minimum 1-year Surgical Tech experience in a hospital setting required

- Ability to maintain good working relationships with surgeons and other employees.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of the Surgical Technician role including case preparation, set-up, aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies, and room turnover.
Education
- (Not required) – High school diploma or equivalent and a graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology (or completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program).

Compensation Range
$32.12- $47.72
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
