Responsibilities

On the Financial Operations team at Northwest Exterminating, you'll lead financial planning and analysis, including developing and refining budgets and forecasts, conducting profitability and variance analyses, and providing strategic financial guidance on acquisitions, investments, and market expansion. You will own financial reporting and administration by delivering accurate, timely reports, driving long-term planning and operational forecasting, and improving financial processes, controls, and tools while training and partnering with branch, regional, field, and corporate teams. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, coach and support teammates, collaborate cross-functionally to resolve financial and operational challenges, and contribute to special projects, strategic initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Commitments

You’ll be expected to handle a wide variety of duties, maintain discretion and confidentiality, and may work outside regular business hours, including some overtime and occasional weekends. The role involves primarily office-based work with typical physical requirements (sitting, standing, repetitive motions, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, and standard vision needs), and requires travel of up to roughly 30–40%. You will report directly to the President and may also receive direction from executive leadership, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements
  • To perform this role successfully, an individual must possess strong financial acumen, analytical capability, and alignment with Northwest’s Service Standards and leadership principles.
  • Strong understanding of operational financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and advanced Excel; familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to both financial and non‑financial audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy, and handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to coach and support leaders and teammates in understanding financial policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.

Education
  • (Required) – Bachelor’s degree required; Finance or Accounting strongly preferred.
