- Perform material testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete, and concrete in the laboratory and on construction sites.
- Interpret and follow applicable specifications and standards.
- Obtain and record field/lab data, in a legible and organized fashion; as required by the plans, specifications, or project staff.
- Generate and compile reports.
- Speak with team members for a given project assignment, including the contractor and owner’s representatives.
- Communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed.
- Maintain testing equipment as required.
- Understand and follow the public health and safety requirements and the proper safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Commitments
DLZ is looking for entry level individuals willing to work hard and learn new skills.
DLZ will provide the necessary training for you to be successful in your role as a Technician - Materials Testing in Western Pennsylvania!
Punctuality a must and the ability to work some weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Ability to frequently lift 50lbs
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to occasionally travel throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states
Valid driver’s License and ability to pass MVR check required
Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with DLZ’s Health and Safety Plan Investing In Your Future
