Requirements
  • Technical knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, equipment, and repair tools.
  • Advanced skill in operating hand and portable power tools used in the installation and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Expertise in reading, writing, and comprehending technical descriptions and plans.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical and mechanical codes related to HVAC installation and repairs.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
  • Four (4) years of experience working with air conditioning, heating and/or refrigeration repair, of which two (2) years working with five (5) ton (or above) systems.
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record.
  • Must possess Environmental Protection Agency Certification (EPA – 608 Universal Certification).
  • Completed Vocational Program in HVAC or Basic Refrigeration and three (3) years of relevant experience, in addition to the EPA Certificate will meet the education and experience requirements.
  • Availability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and overtime.
