Responsibilities
- The Program Specialist I will be responsible for the facilitation of at least one, but up to two boards following the mandated review process outlined by state statute and program policy.
- In addition, this position will help with quality assurance, data integrity, and reporting as directed by the Program Manager.
- This position will act as a lead training assistant for new Administrative II staff and a backup to the Administrative Assistant III who are responsible for secretarial work associated with the Foster Care Review Board Program (FCRB), including data entry, copying, filing, typing, and extensive public phone contact.
- This position will also communicate with DCS Case Managers, ensure FCRB recommendation reports are distributed, review and correct FCRB Findings and Recommendations, and recruit screen and recommend new members to serve on boards and ensure proper training
- After an initial period of at least three months in person, this position may offer the ability to work remotely up to two days per week, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

- This position also requires extensive attention to detail, organization skills, and considerable knowledge of English, grammar and punctuation skills.
