- Manage relationships with internal and external customers to allow for timely identification of builder's risk opportunities.
- Focus on working with existing casualty insurance clients to expand Lockton’s relationship through builders risk procurement.
- Work with Owners, Contractors, Lockton team members to review project contracts, including projects with alternative delivery methods, to determine the allocation of physical damage and delay related risks between parties of the contract.
- Based upon the allocation of risk, identify mitigation strategies and work with clients to structure a CAR/EAR program that meets all contractual requirements and adequately covers insurable exposures.
- Coordinate, including completion of applications and supplementary information, with clients and Lockton team members to support procurement and placement of master builders risk insurance programs, and project specific placements.
- Oversee tracking, reporting, and auditing of insurance policies to maintain compliance.
- Responsible for ongoing market analysis, financial reporting, and continuing education training to keep management and Lockton team members apprised of critical issues related to CAR/EAR programs.
- Recommend, implement, and maintain process improvements in support of Lockton’s effort to be a leader in this area
- Leader in cross training efforts for development, to maintain consistent practices and procedures for Lockton
- Responsible for analysis, reporting, and training to keep management and Lockton team members apprised of critical issues.

Requirements
- Minimum 10 Years’ Experience in Property, Builders Risk and specifically recent 5 years servicing Builders Risk with Insurance Carrier or Broker
- In-depth knowledge of worldwide construction property market including Construction All Risk/Erection All Risk, delay in Start Up, Third Party Liability
- and Excess of Loss coverage
- Understanding of the CAR/EAR and Master Builders Risk underwriting process
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively disseminate information and convey concepts, ideas, and information including a high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges with consistent follow through
- Must have existing market relationships with key decision makers in the construction property and reinsurance markets
- Extremely organized with ability to set priorities and work in a high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities, and tight deadlines
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrix management environment
- Experience in handling complex builders risk claims to resolution including interface/coordination between clients, project managers, project owners, outside consultants and insurance adjusters
- Willingness and ability to travel
