Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in computational biology, machine learning / AI, data science or scientific software development with a track record of success in managing and mentoring teams of bioinformatics and data scientists
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and R
  • Deep knowledge and experience analyzing large-scale omics and molecular data either in an industry or academia setting
  • Deep knowledge and experience in computational biology, machine learning and/or AI models and algorithms
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
  • Expertise in knowledge graphs and knowledge graph AI models
  • Expertise in training and/or fine-tuning foundation models
  • Expertise in single-cell, Perturb-seq and/or spatial transcriptomics data analysis
  • Experience in creating user-facing bioinformatics services and applications analyzing large and/or heterogeneous datasets
  • Experience with software development for web-based platforms, including front-end and/or back-end development
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices such as version control, code review, and testing
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in database systems (including SQL, NoSQL and/or graph databases)
  • Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP What we offer
