- Develop and/or update existing course syllabus in consultation with the UCLA Extension Portfolio Director
- Prepare and/or update existing course materials and learning assessments in Canvas
- Communicate and teach the course objectives and learning outcomes to students.
- Weekly and preferably daily interaction with students’ discussion posts on Canvas for the highest engagement and collaboration opportunities with students to promote a positive learning experience.
- Conduct weekly live/zoom office hours for Q/A and to promote face-to-face engagement and communication with students, and foster authenticity.
- Review students’ progress through the course assignments and apply timely grading at a minimum on a weekly basis.
- Respond to student questions and learning needs in a timely manner.
- Interact with the UCLA Extension Computer Science and Engineering Department's internal staff for timely administrative tasks.
- Employ culturally competent teaching methodologies in the classroom inclusive of both domestic and international student populations
- Utilize the Canvas Learning Management System as the course support platform in face-to-face courses and as the delivery platform in online and hybrid courses.
