Requirements
  • Electrical Design Proficiency
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, grounding, panel schedules, and control systems.
  • Skilled in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, EPLAN, etc.).
  • Proficient in performing load calculations, voltage drop, short circuit, and coordination studies.
  • Code Compliance & Safety
  • Deep knowledge of NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Designs systems that prioritize safety, reliability, and code adherence.
  • Project Management
  • Capable of managing design timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Technical Documentation
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (optional).
  • Technical Skills & Software Proficiency
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or EPLAN for electrical drafting and modeling.
  • Strong grasp of National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant standards (e.g., IEEE, NFPA, IEC) and/or industrial panel standards (UL508A).
  • Understanding of low-voltage systems, grounding, circuit protection, and control systems.
  • 0–2 years for entry-level or junior designer roles.
  • 3–7 years for mid-level or project engineer/designer roles.
  • 8+ years for senior engineer/designer or lead roles
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Team-oriented with good coordination and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on practical, buildable solutions.
Preferred Skills
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or FE certification (optional).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or EPLAN for electrical drafting and modeling.
