Responsibilities

On the advertising products team at Amazon in West Hollywood, you'll serve as the technical leader for Machine Learning, driving high-ambiguity, large-scale ML projects that increase traffic monetization and merchandise sales while preserving shopper experience. You will perform hands-on analysis of massive datasets, build, experiment with, optimize, and deploy ML models into production, run A/B tests and statistical analyses, and establish scalable automated processes for data analysis, model development, validation, and serving. You will also research innovative ML approaches, collaborate closely with software engineers, help recruit Applied Scientists, and provide mentorship to the team.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.
  • Experience with large scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark etc.
Education
  • (Not required) – PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
